A senior employment solicitor is sought to handle a mix of both contentious and non-contentious matters as well as providing supervision to junior members of the team.
The opportunity will be available to develop a specialism within the field to sit alongside the general practice.
The work may include, inter alia, advising on misconduct, sickness absence, grievances;
TUPE advice and drafting; Conducting investigations on behalf of clients; Conduct of Employment Tribunal litigation up to hearing stage; Preparation, negotiation and advising on Settlement Agreements (for employers and employees); Advising on industrial relations and strike action;
This role calls for an employment solicitor with 6pqe+ gained at a leading firm.
Employment law knowledge in particular in relation to outsourcing arrangements with local authorities, admission agreements and the Best Value Authorities Staff Transfers (Pensions) Direction 2007) would be an advantage, as well as Data Protection.
