A top 100 commercial law firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services from offices in several key locations.
A public procurement lawyer is now sought to join the Commercial and Infrastructure team.
The role may involve some travel and cross-office working and the location is flexible.
You will advise on structuring and conducting major procurement exercises for a range of public bodies including local authorities, NHS bodies and central government clients.
This will be across a range of industry sectors including building and regeneration, waste management, energy, IT, outsourcing, FM, highways infrastructure, education, leisure services as well as NHS and community services.
It will also involve advising on procurement law issues including cooperation arrangements between public bodies, changes to contracts and exemptions to competitive tendering.
The candidate will have 2-5PQE in non-contentious public procurement law, gained ideally across a range of sectors to include health, local government, regeneration, energy and waste.
Experience in competition and state aid law would be desirable and experience in contract drafting and an awareness of public & administrative law would also be beneficial.
