Within the large international private client team which works closely with the firm's private client groups in Europe, South-east Asia and the Middle East.
Recognised as a market leader for many years, the team is very experienced in advising international families, private banks and fiduciary groups with particular expertise in advising so-called "new money" clients (entrepreneurs and members of the finance industry), as well as landed estates.
The team is looking for a private client lawyer with at least 2pqe and up to more experienced level to join for 12-15 months on an interim basis.
The candidate will work predominately on the administration of estates, covering a maternity leave.
The candidate will handle a full range of probate matters which will encompass private client trust and tax planning, receiving work from several partners within the department.
The client base is made up of high net worth individuals and the work often has a significant offshore or international element.
Specific duties will include:
* Advising on all aspects of the administration of complex and high-value estates
* Management of the tax aspects of estate administration matters
* Advising on estate assets
* Drafting of estate and trust documentation
This role will suit someone who has good people skills and who is looking to develop their career within a friendly and collegiate team widely recognised for its expertise in this area.
The team is looking for someone with offshore tax and trust experience.
Candidates must be available to start in November and be UK qualified (or have completed the QLTT) with experience gained from a recognised firm with a strong private client practice.
