Job Description

THE FIRM

A nationally recognised practice providing a complete range of legal and advisory services on all aspects of Construction law.

THE ROLE

You will join a team which advises construction risk management from procurement to completion (projects and dispute management across a broad range of sectors).

The team acts for private and public sector clients including developers, healthcare providers, education institutions, transport authorities, main contractors, sub-contractors and consultants.

Client include those involved in commercial development, PRS, student accommodation, local government, transport, education, health, utilities, energy and investment.

The Construction team drafts and negotiates on all the major standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC4.

From a contentious (disputes) perspective the team advises and acts on all forms of construction dispute resolution, including adjudication, arbitration, proceedings in the TCC, mediation and expert determination.

They have been involved in a range of projects from multi-million pound developments to high value multi party disputes

ABOUT YOU

A 5pqe + non-contentious construction solicitor is now sought and while Liverpool or Birmingham are the preferred locations the firm will consider applications from other locations. They may also be flexible on the pqe.


Your caseload will comprise inter alia:

Managing a caseload of construction work
Assisting other members of the team with their caseloads of Construction work (non contentious)
Drafting and negotiating contracts, appointments and supporting documents
