A highly regarded global leisure business seeks to recruit a commerical lawyer to join the Group as the first in-house Legal Counsel
The post holder will be expected to take responsibility for a broad ranging role to include the provision of both commercial and legal advice to the business.
As a trusted adviser, you will be expected to take responsibility for negotiating, drafting and the implementation of a full range of commercial agreements to include;
Travel legislation. Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of relevant travel legislation, bonding/CAA and ABTOT
Advise the group on Data Protection and related GDPR matters, protection regulations impacting commercial activities.
Provide advice, helping to establish frameworks and processes, develop policies and ensure compliance across the Group.
Intellectual Property matters - brands/trademarks
Insurance matters relating to the group
Regulatory and bonding arrangements
Liaison with external counsel
Management / supervision of potentially contentious matters
Provision of support relating to corporate matters including M&A and legal due diligence.
Other responsibilities will involve implementation and delivery of staff training for legal and policy matters
Management of employment and property matters as required
