THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Litigation Lawyer to join an in-house legal team.

The ideal candidate will be customer focused and skilled in managing a varied caseload with particular emphasis on disrepair claims.

You will be dealing with all types of housing management and property related disputes including repairing obligations, anti-social behaviour proceedings, injunction applications, freehold/leasehold disputes and boundary disputes.

Your duties will include drafting pleadings, advice on quantum, Part 36 offers and Tomlin Orders.

As well as managing your own caseload, you will provide support and assistance to the Litigation Legal Manager.

Your caseload will involve advocacy in the County Court and advocacy experience is therefore essential for this role.

ABOUT YOU

Qualified as a Solicitor or a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in England and Wales with 2-3pqe+

Experienced in dealing with a range of housing management litigation matters in particular disrepair claims.

Skilled in County Court advocacy

An excellent communicator and negotiator who is able to work collaboratively with others across the business

Knowledgeable about the relevant legislation, case law and civil procedure rules

Able to undertake legal research and present this is in a client-friendly manner to internal business customers
