Job Description


A new instruction. We are urgently looking to recruit a Group Data Privacy Officer to join a high profile global provider of professional services to work closely with senior management as the data protection subject matter expert.


The Group Data Privacy Officer will be expected to take responsibility for the development and implementation of a data protection framework across the group, with a view to working alongside senior management as data protection subject matter expert designing, developing and implementing organisational guidelines and strategies.

The role will additionally involve:-

Participation in the in house GDPR Steering Group and Data Privacy Forum

Leading and project managing the preparation and implementation of data protection policies, standards, procedures and guidelines

Risk management/compliance with all other related privacy and data protection regulations across the group

Setting and maintaining Privacy & Data Protection Standards

Acting as a main point of contact for all issues that relate to the protection of personal data

Working in close collaboration with IT security team to ensure all systems meet security needs

Provision of legal advice and guidance and training for all areas of the business in relation to the Data Protection Act, GDPR and other related matters

Drafting data transfer agreements, privacy impact assessments and data processing agreements

Reviewing and advising on DPA clauses in customer terms and supplier contracts

Carrying out Privacy / Data Protection Impact Assessments

Maintaining relevant registrations and securities with the Information Commissioner, acting as the key point of contact for the groups


To be considered for this high profile role, candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive post qualification experience in data protection/data privacy preferably with data protection qualifications, e.g. CDP, CIPM or Certified EU GDPR practitioner

Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent commercial acumen, capable of understanding the needs of a complex global business with the gravitas to manage, educate and influence senior stakeholders.

Candidates looking to work on a FTC basis will also be considered
