Job Description

OUR CLIENT

A market leader and global name in the IT sector seeks to appoint a Solicitor c 8 PQE with an IT/Commercial background as to join an established in house in house legal department.

THE ROLE

As a key member of a successful technology business, you will be expected to take responsibility for the provision of legal, strategic and commercial advice to management and stakeholders.

The work will cover :-

Negotiating and drafting of technology, software services, vendor, supplier, development, consultancy and outsourcing agreements.

The post holder will also expected to provide input on data protection and regulatory matters.

Assisting business stakeholders with ongoing contract management across the full range of technology activities

Advising management on legal risks related to company strategy, preparation and reporting on high level risks of large deals

Liaising with external counsel and procuring input and advice

Preparing/ maintaining template documentation and negotiation guidelines, Providing training to other members of the legal department on areas of expertise and mentoring/ supervising more junior members of the team.

THE CANDIDATE

To be considered for this exceptional role, you will be a commercial lawyer, with a technology/outsourcing background, City law firm or similar experience. You will be a team player, with excellent communication and client care skills.

Candidates with French and/ or German language skills would be of particular interest .
