We have just received a new mandate to recruit a commercial lawyer c 2 -4 PQE to join a successful international business in the IP/IT sector.
Due to a programme of planned growth, a new opportunity has been created for a Legal Counsel to join a well respected vibrant business based in central London
The post holder will report to the Head of Legal, and will be expected to work as a trusted legal adviser to the business and the Group worldwide.
The core work areas will involve the delivery of legal and commercial support to senior management and stakeholders, negotiating client contracts at all stages of the client life cycle. The core work areas will include the following:
Develop, maintain and implement policies to ensure compliance in all aspects of corporate law, including data protection, risk management and regulatory matters
Ensure that the business maintains compliance in all aspects of employment law, across all jurisdictions, including employment and consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, disciplinary and redundancy matters
Maintain suitable legal protection to the business brands and trademarks, balancing business needs with budgetary constraints
To be considered for this exceptional in house role offering the successful candidate an opportunity to gain first rate work experience within the IT/IP sector
Candidates will be expected to have 2-4 PQE from a leading law firm/ in house legal function with relevant technical skills.
You will have excellent drafting and negotiating skills and genuinely enjoy drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
Experience of international jurisdictions, notably the United States, would be an advantage.
