A UK and international law firm.
A brand new Knowledge Development lawyer role presenting an exciting opportunity to play a key part in implementing the firm's ESG strategy.
You will be involved in developing a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture around ESG and building a solid foundation of key knowhow resources around ESG issues using the firm's ESG-related knowledge for client engagement and as a driver for business.
Working closely and collaboratively with the Knowledge Partner, the Corporate KDLs, other KDLs and key stakeholders, you will identify key ESG issues relevant to clients and develop the firm's own knowledge by building up internal resources.
If you are already a Corporate Knowledge Lawyer that would be ideal, but the team will also consider lawyers from other disciplines, 5pqe+ with at least some PQE in private practice and experience working on a range of ESG and responsible business issues, including:
- The current and rapidly developing UK and EU legal and regulatory frameworks on corporate ESG-related disclosures, business and human rights and modern slavery
- The wider universe of ESG standards and best practice frameworks to which companies are increasingly held accountable by investors, consumers and commercial counterparties
- Current and emerging trends in corporate transactions and commercial contracting with regard to ESG issues
This is an exciting time to join the firm as it implements its ESG strategy and offers the right candidate the opportunity to inform that strategy as it develops.
