A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Associate to join the Litigation, Advisory & Regulatory department on a 12 month fixed term contract to specialise mainly in information law. The role requires experience of the GDPR; advising on information law, in particular for public bodies, the application of The Freedom of Information Act, responding to subject access requests, and other information governance issues.
It is essential that the successful candidate is able to provide sound, commercial advice on the following areas:
- Freedom of Information
- Data Protection
- Subject Access Requests
- Disclosure of information
- Information sharing
- GDPR compliance
- Commercial Data Protection issues
- Environmental Information Regulations
- Access to Medical Records Act 1990
- Caldicott Principles
- Information Commissioner Referrals
- Policies and Protocols in relation to the above
Not essential but additional broader regulatory & compliance experience would be advantageous including CQC, Health and Safety, Fire Safety; Environmental; Consumer/Trading Standards; Licensing; Bribery & Corruption etc
