Job Description

Our client is a naitonalf firm and they are currently looking for a qualified Court of Protection Associate/Senior Solicitor, to join the Court of Protection department to be based in the Birmingham office

The Court of Protection is the judicial body in England and Wales responsible for managing the affairs, assets and estates of anyone who does not have capacity to manage their own finances.

The team has a strong reputation in dealing with the full range of Court of Protection services including deputyship services, gifts, Enduring & Lasting Powers of Attorney and replacing deputyships with private trusts. They have dedicated departments located in Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester, London, Bristol, Leeds and London that provide a specialist nationwide service. Their team based approach means they work with colleagues to combine legal expertise from financial management, planning, investment, taxation and returns to the Court.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your skills within an established and innovative national law firm and department. You will be working within a fast-paced team on a stimulating mix of cases. You will not only be technically excellent but also a good communicator with rounded client service skills. You must be able to develop strong relationships with a wide range of people, be empathetic, supportive yet directional. You will also manage a mixed team of solicitors and paralegals.
