A leading US law firm, long established in London.
Within the UK Corporate Practice Group, which currently has no dedicated knowledge strategy lawyer, and for which you will provide support.
The role will combine more traditional PSL responsibilities with a focus on legal technology and innovation and assisting with corporate reporting for clients.
While full time, the firm will consider applicants who would like to work three or four days a week.
The work will involve drafting and maintaining standard forms and practice notes as well as monitoring the need for further guidance materials.
Able to respond to queries from fee earners in relation to corporate and company law and market practice, you will advise on changes to corporate law and update internal materials as appropriate.
Preparing and delivering training on changes to corporate law and assisting fee earners with training for clients on new topics will form part of the role.
On the Legal Technology and Innovation side, you will be working with the Knowledge Strategy team to manage legal technology products and have an interest in managing a new document automation platform project.
Broad experience of UK corporate and company law with knowledge of corporate transactions and public company reporting is essential, while experience of capital markets is preferred but not required.
Able to deal with document automation and precedent management and to research and evaluate new developments in corporate law, you will be able to communicate the consequences of those developments to the UK Corporate Practice Group.
A proactive lawyer 3pqe+ with excellent academics, you should have recent broad experience as a corporate lawyer or PSL in a US or major City law firm.
While PSL experience is preferred, it is not essential, but you should demonstrate an interest in professional support, knowledge sharing, and technology.
