THE ROLE
The role as a professional support lawyer in the corporate team requires up-to-date technical knowledge of company law, the listing rules and market practice.
You will be part of the broader Corporate Know-How Team, with particular responsibility for client publications, and for supporting the listed company practice and equity capital markets practice.
You will work closely with the partners and other fee earners in a busy, friendly and supportive team with responsibility also for know-how and training, and keep the team informed of regulatory and market changes in the rapidly evolving listed company and ECM space.
You will be proactive in identifying issues on which the team and its clients need to be briefed, and able to pitch those briefings at the right level for the relevant audience.
The ability to start a project and see it through to completion, together with a commitment to meeting regular deadlines, are essential qualities to maintain the smooth running of the added value services.
You will join a team of highly regarded PSLs in a role which offers flexibility and a good work/life balance.
This role can be either full or part time, with a combination of in office and at home working.
Your legal knowledge will have focussed on corporate (including of the regulatory framework applying to listed companies) and experience of advising on corporate and ECM transactions.
THE CANDIDATE
A lawyer with 3pqe+ you will have technical competence in corporate law and corporate transactional experience as expected at level of qualification along with an understanding of the regulatory regime applicable to listed companies and experience of advising on corporate and ECM transactions
Training will be given to corporate lawyers looking to move into PSL work and in this case into the area of ECM.
The team is happy to recruit those looking for their first role as a PSL as well as candidates who already have PSL experience.
