Compliance Manager sought by a midsized City firm. This role would suit a lawyer with compliance experience gained within a law firm environment.
The role reports to the COLP and assists with ensuring the firm complies with its regulatory responsibilities under the SRA Handbook. The role involves advising on technical compliance issues, improving compliance procedures and providing training where necessary. This is a full-time role working with and alongside the senior management of the firm, although part-time working would be considered for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer or other person with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a City firm. You must have good knowledge of the SRA's Principles and Code of Conduct and Handbook. Post graduate qualifications in compliance, money laundering and financial crime prevention would be beneficial, but are not essential.
