Our client a leading UK law firm with a network of offices from the South Coast to Scotland, working together as one national team. An innovative practice and the first top 100 law firm to achieve "Gold Standard" Investors in People, their values and culture are not just words on the website but are the heartbeat of the firm. The lack of barriers between departments, a real lack of hierarchy, zero tolerance for arrogance and pomposity makes this firm a fantastic place to work.

The team

Our National Commercial Group is going from strength to strength and they have exciting plans for accelerated growth over the next five years.

Our bold and ambitious plan is to be recognised as the pre-eminent Commercial Practice in the UK within the next 5 years.

They're already well on that journey, currently having an excellent team of over 70 lawyers focused on six key service lines:

  • Technology, Media & Telecoms
  • Intellectual Property
  • Financial Services
  • Commercial Contracts
  • Privacy & Data
  • Capital Projects & Infrastructure

They are ranked in the top tier of Legal 500 for most of their practice areas, although the intention is to have top rankings across the board.

The role

The technology practice pulls together a national team of band 1 rated experts who advise both customers and suppliers on a broad range of technology solutions including complex outsourcing, procurement; software development and cloud services. They act for major global businesses within the telecoms, retail, manufacturing, financial services and leisure sectors.

In line with their strategic ambition to develop and grow the national footprint an exciting new role has arisen in the Birmingham office.

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a track record of top drawer commercial IT experience and will share their values of providing exceptional client service. There will be a lot of opportunity to take responsibility on matters and the role would suit someone who is keen to be involved in business development initiatives.

The team is known for its supportive work ethic as well as valuing each individual's career development.
