A contentious Building & Fire Safety solicitor is sought to join the contentious construction team.
The team is established as leading legal experts in the field of building and fire safety claims in residential construction.
In particular, they provide cutting-edge legal advice to clients operating at the coalface of the current and unprecedented legislative developments, including:
the Building Safety Act 2022.
the Fire Safety Act 2021; and
the toolkit of new rights of redress proposed by the Government to enhance the ability of building owners, landlords, homeowners and leaseholders to seek compensation for defective work.
The role can be based out of London, Yorkshire, West Midlands or Essex.
You should have strong academics, 3pqe+, gained in the England & Wales jurisdiction and in private practice, and contentious construction but ideally with some non-contentious experience.
You should have a thorough understanding of the Housing Grants, Construction & Regeneration Act 1996, the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England & Wales) Regulations 1998 and the Civil Procedure Rules.
