Our client is an commercial firm and they are growing rapidly and they are looking to grow the Projects and Procurement team which is Chambers rated.

They're looking for a talented procurement lawyer to contribute to the continued growth and success of the team. The Head of Procurement is a Chambers noted practitioner and they are looking to add to the team a procurement specialist based out of any of our Newcastle, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh offices or Aberdeen. You'll be working on big ticket projects with a great mix of clients and sectors from across the firm including central government, transport, regeneration, waste, leisure, IT, education, health, local government, universities, construction and major development projects. You'll assist with developing clients' procurement strategies, drafting and reviewing all procurement documentation, providing technically excellent advice on the big procurement issues of the day, and as well as working on defending and bringing procurement challenges as part of their very strong contentious procurement practice.

With a proven track record in providing procurement advice, whether in the public or private sectors, you'll be looking to join a team advising on procurement law aspects of a range of projects including large scale complex projects, major outsourcing initiatives, joint ventures and regeneration projects in the public and utilities sectors. Experience of advising central government departments and agencies, as well as advising on State aid and publicly funded projects, and procurement challenges would also be desirable. As important is the ability to develop deep and lasting relationships with their clients, and a practical approach to the application of the law.
